What is a fairy?

A fairy is the generic term for all creatures, mistakenly called 'supernatural', who are neither of God's nor the devil's service. Fairies inhabit most countries of the world, but each nation has its particular cultural group. Irish leprechauns, Scottish brownies and German kobolds, are all fairies, all independent of religion and quite natural in movement, taste and manners. (A History of Irish Fairies by Carolyn White)

As a lover of all things faerie, I dedicate this blog to my life long passion. This strives to be essentially a collection of things I find or things I know of that have to do with faeries. Enjoy.


For reasons that are somewhat complicated I have this blog on two sites; Wordpress and Blogger. The blogs are the same, same posts, pictures, etc. As such, either location is an acceptable place to get your not quite daily dose of faerie!
